Dr. Dylan Suttle is a board-certified interventional radiologist with advanced expertise in minimally invasive, image-guided therapies. A native of North Carolina, Dr. Suttle earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before spending four years working as an interventional radiology technologist in Charlotte. This formative experience provided early, hands-on exposure to complex procedures and continues to shape his technical precision, procedural efficiency, and emphasis on patient comfort.
He received his medical degree from East Carolina University, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, reflecting peer recognition for compassion, integrity, and patient-centered care. Dr. Suttle completed a general surgery internship followed by diagnostic and interventional radiology residency training at the University of Virginia, one of the nation’s premier training programs in interventional radiology, known for clinical excellence, innovation, and leadership in procedural medicine.
Clinically, Dr. Suttle is among the most experienced interventional radiologists in North Carolina performing Geniculate Artery Embolization (GAE) and Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE). He is also recognized as one of the earliest providers nationally to offer thyroid nodule radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and is by far the most experienced practitioner of this technique in the Carolinas. These procedures offer minimally invasive alternatives for appropriately selected patients, reducing symptoms while often avoiding costly and painful surgery.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Suttle has published research on strategies to reduce pain associated with local anesthesia in interventional procedures. He is a national and international speaker on portal hypertension, TIPS procedures, and the use of intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) to enhance procedural safety and outcomes.
